If you live in Ballinlough you may qualify for membership.
The common bond is the factor which unites all the members of Ballinlough Credit Union — it is what all members have in common i.e. where they live. Because of the common bond, all members have the good of their Credit Union at heart; they know and trust each other.
You need to present 3 forms of identification to join and a minimum of €10 is needed to open an account and keep it activated.
Three forms of identification. One form of ID from each of the sections below is required:
- Evidence of Identification (must show proof of date of birth & recent photo), i.e. Current valid Passport or current valid Driving Licence.
- Evidence of Address (must show address where you currently live), i.e. Original or recent Household Bill (e.g. ESB, Phone) or Bank or Building Society Statement. Dated in the last 2 months.
- Evidence of PPS number.
If you are in employed in the area you may be asked to provide a letter stating you are employed in Ballinlough.
We are required by law to prove every Member’s identity when they become a member of Ballinlough Credit Union and also ensure that members’ documentation is at all times up to date. Please update your I.D. immediately if you have not done so within the past year.
